The Foundation of Zest Flow
Logistics & Time Commitment
ROI & Accountability
The Zest Flow methodology is grounded in over a decade of hands-on experience designing and delivering educational frameworks for corporate environments. It draws on the emotional intelligence (EQ) work of psychologist, author and science journalist Daniel Goleman; Brené Brown's research on courageous leadership; Harvard professor Amy Edmondson's research on psychological safety; and the core principles of neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), co-created by Richard Bandler and John Grinder and taught by NLP Master Practitioner Brian Colbert. Synthesised by the founder, Zoe Mc Clurg, the framework turns complex behavioural psychology into a practical, actionable toolkit for intentional leadership.
This framework is built for newly promoted and mid-level managers who were promoted for their technical brilliance but were never given the tools to lead people. It is for leaders who are exhausted by fighting fires and navigating team friction, and are ready to build a sustainable way of leading.
Emotional Intelligence in leadership is not about toxic positivity or simply being "nice." It is the operational ability to regulate your own nervous system under pressure and manage the complex dynamics between people. When leaders lack EQ, they manage tasks; when they master EQ, they manage friction, dropping defensive walls so high-level execution can happen.
NLP explores the connection between how we think, the language we use, and our patterns of behaviour. In the Zest Flow framework, it matters because the words, tone and body language a leader chooses can either escalate or calm a tense moment with their team. It turns reactive communication into intentional communication.
The primary facilitator and executive coach is Zoe Mc Clurg, founder and architect of the Zest Flow methodology. She is a qualified HR professional and entrepreneur, with a decade of experience designing and delivering educational frameworks. She co-founded and scaled a property management company across Ireland and Hong Kong, and built her foundation as an educator and executive corporate trainer, working with audiences from children and teenagers to high-level corporate professionals.A licensed NLP practitioner with a deeply global perspective, she speaks multiple languages and has spent her life navigating diverse cultural landscapes. Raised in Japan before moving to France at the age of 13, where she mastered the language through total immersion, she brings a lived understanding of adaptability, resilience and cross-cultural communication to her leadership training.
These are the leadership training questions Dublin HR and L&D teams ask most, covering who the NLP and EQ programme suits, time commitment, funding and ROI.
